DaBaby has shared a clip of a rental property owner using racial slurs and profanity aimed at him and his associates in the wake of a December 2, 2020 incident in which the rapper and a pal named Thankgod Chimmeka Awute allegedly battered the man.
The Grammy-nominated rapper has been charged with felony battery in connection with the incident by the District Attorney's

Share

'These are the type of people y'all validate & let assassinate DaBaby's character. Not to mention he spat in DaBaby's face.'
Authorities said in the warrant that both DaBaby and Thankgod - who is also charged with felony theft using force - 'willfully and unlawfully' used 'force and violence' against Pagar while on the set of a music video they were unauthorizedly filming at a Los Angeles mansion Pagar rented to them.
Pagar previously filed a civil lawsuit in February of 2021 in .
Pagar said that he was led to believe DaBaby was renting the property for a vacation, and eventually went to the property to confront the rapper, who had more than 40 people on the premises, including a film crew, as he was shooting a music video.
'When Mr. Pagar asked them to stop, they beat and battered him, stole his phone by force so he couldn't call the police, and threatened him,' Pagar said in court docs. 'Then they vandalized his house and left, after stealing various valuable items. Defendants' behavior was utterly despicable.'
Serious: The musician has been charged by the L.A. County District Attorney's Office for beating up property owner, Gary Pagar, after he attempted to shut down his video shoot (An associate of DaBaby, pictured in yellow plaid shirt, was also involved)
Pagar told the court that he was initially attacked by Thankgod and then DaBaby, who exited the vehicle he was in to 'taunt, threaten and punch' him, knocking one of his teeth in the attack.
Pagar told Rolling Stone last week: 'There are people who believe that the rules don't apply to them. Whatever the rules are, whether it's the law, that they can do what they want with impunity, and there are no consequences. That's who [DaBaby] was.'
Pagar said that he seeks to have DaBaby 'pay for his behavior, and hopefully teach him a lesson that the rules actually do apply to him.'
A preliminary hearing in the criminal case is scheduled to be held June 1 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, according to the Los Angeles County Court database.
A hearing to determine damages in the incident is slated for June 21.
Short fuse: Pagar claims that after he attempted to enforce rules regarding the number of people allowed on the property, DaBaby punched him in the mouth, knocking out his tooth (DaBaby pictured in red, yellow and black shirt)

The violent incident is one of many in the rapper's history.
Last weekend, he appeared to have swung his fist at a member of his own team. It costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year in the US; £3.99 or £19.99 in the UK; and AU$6.99 or AU$39.99 in Australia.

The subscription service, which , gives players access to a growing number of recently released games that would otherwise cost as much, if nor more than, the amount of a full year of EA Access. In exchange, players give up ownership of the game on a physical disc that can be traded in for cash. EA's effort has been likened to a "Netflix for games," yet has the gaming community cautious over potential shortcomings.

Related stories

Now it seems as if those worries are warranted. Madden 15 prerelease gameplay will not be available outside the walls of EA Access, nor will a Madden 15 demo make its way to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation 4, the .

EA confirmed to CNET that there will be no Madden 15 demo even after the game's release on Xbox and PlayStation platforms on August 26 (August 29 in Europe).

The move marks a departure from tradition for EA. The company has, for the better part of the last decade, released demos for its major sports franchises like Madden, FIFA, and NHL around two weeks prior to release. The goal is to give players a healthy trial period to try out the title to better inform the purchase decision. This has been the case since Madden NFL 06 in 2005.

EA's subscription service, however, boasted as one of its perks the option to try new releases five days prior to launch. A demo is only a taste of a game and sometimes even that small slice is enough to get a customer to fork over $60 for a new release. However, oftentimes it is not, which is partially what drives the use of rental services, such as Gamefly, and used-game purchases from GameStop.

By giving gamers full-game access for five straight days through EA Access, the experience may prove better at converting on-the-fence customers into buyers on launch day, especially if they've been entrenching themselves in all the game has to offer and not just what a demo would typically allow. "And if you want to keep playing? Your progress in the trial will be saved so you can pick up right where you left off if you decide to purchase the game," EA said in a press release Monday announcing that the program has exited its beta phase.

An EA spokesperson stressed that "the decision not to have a demo for Madden 15 was a decision made by the studio and not related to EA Access."

"The difficult decision not to do a demo for Madden was strictly a result of the team's commitment to deliver the highest-quality game possible. We chose to put 100 percent of our development resources toward the full game," the company said in a statement. EA Access trials are not intended as a demo replacement, according to EA. "EA Access does not have any impact on our demo programs for our games," the spokesperson added.

Beyond Madden 15, titles lined up for EA Access' prerelease trials are NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA Live 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. A company spokesperson did not confirm whether EA will exclude public demos for these upcoming titles as well.

Updated at 12:20 p.m. PT: Clarified that EA Access offers full-game access to select titles like Madden 15 and updated story with confirmation from the company. Added additional context around EA Access' prerelease strategy. Also updated at 1:10 p.m. PT to add that EA Access exited beta on Monday, after this story's publication, and is now available to all Xbox One owners. Updated at 1:30 p.m. PT to add further comment from EA and to change the headline to reflect the latest news. As one man sits down, he hangs his cowboy hat on a post near the pulpit. The one-room adobe chapel is lit only by a table of flickering votive candles. It's a cool February morning in Mission, Texas, and the sun has yet to rise.
"We pray for ourselves," Father Roy Snipes says with a Texan lilt, holding a flashlight as he reads his sermon. "But we also pray for our oppressors."

This is the third story in our Texas border trilogy, Tall Order: Building the Border Wall. for the first story and for the second story.

Amy Kim/CNET

Snipes, who's tall with a slight stoop and combed white hair parted on the side, has served at La Lomita Chapel for nearly 40 years. As he continues his sermon, he turns to a topic his parishioners are familiar with: the .

La Lomita sits directly in the path of President 's proposed wall. The tiny white church is situated in a grassy park less than a block from the dark green Rio Grande -- the international boundary between Texas and Mexico. That has turned this historic landmark into a symbol of what might be lost once the wall is built. And it's turned Snipes, who's locally known as the "cowboy priest" and has been described as "," into an unlikely symbol of protest against the physical barrier the Trump administration just started building in Texas last month.

"In the long run, it's going to be a real sad chapter in our history, that wall," Snipes says. "It's a shame they couldn't think of something better than that with all of the tech we have."

It's going to be a real sad chapter in our history, that wall.
Father Roy Snipes, parish priest for La Lomita

The US Border Patrol has blanketed the nearly 2,000-mile-long US-Mexico border with technology, most of it geared toward surveillance. The agency relies on a network of sensors, cameras and equipped with lidar and radar to spot people, boats and vehicles crossing the border into California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Watchdog groups warn that this mass surveillance could have serious privacy implications. But a wall, say the dozens of Texans living along the border who granted me interviews, may be even worse.

If all goes according to Trump's plans, of wall will be built along the US-Mexico border as soon as possible. Most of that new construction is expected to happen in Texas. Unlike California, Arizona and New Mexico, which already have of fencing or walls at their borders, Texas only has around 20% because of its natural barrier with Mexico -- the Rio Grande.

Tall order: Building the border wall

I set out to travel the length of the Texas-Mexico border, about 1,200 miles, starting in El Paso and ending here at the southern tip of the state in the Rio Grande Valley. While much of the border is remote and desolate, South Texas is different. It's peppered with numerous towns whose inhabitants live on both sides of the river. It's also one of North America's top biodiversity hotspots for birds, insects and animals, such as the endangered ocelot and Kemp's ridley sea turtle.

Building a wall in the middle of such a wildlife corridor will that live here, say scientists and conservationists across Texas. It also puts at risk the future of La Lomita.

Father Roy Snipes, the parish priest at La Lomita chapel, holds a dawn mass in Mission, Texas.

Dara Kerr/CNET

As Snipes finishes mass at the chapel, birds chirp awake and a hawk hovers in the nearby field. Through the church's windows, the sky over the levee is cast in red, peach and bright turquoise. In the other direction, a low fog lifts off the river. Overhead, a Border Patrol helicopter buzzes.

"They think they're going to build a wall and it'll solve all of our problems," Snipes says. "I think it's going to cause more problems than it's going to solve."
Surveillance state
The Rio Grande Valley isn't actually a valley, it's a river delta. It's flat, dry and hot. Along Highway 83, one-stoplight towns sell tacos and barbecue brisket out of roadside trailers, and broken-down gas stations are a mainstay. Through the dense and thorny brushland filled with sweet acacia, Texas ebony and mesquite trees, the Rio Grande drifts in and out of sight.

Every few dozen miles, a white blimp floats 5,000 feet in the sky. Called aerostats, or tethered aerostat radar systems, these apparatuses look like a cartoon version of an airplane, with a softly rounded nose and curved puffy tail wings. They're one of the surveillance tools US Customs and Border Protection uses to monitor the border.

An aerostat, used for border surveillance, gets lowered to the ground in rainy weather.

Dara Kerr/CNET

Each balloon is that can be extended and reeled in. When in the air, the unmanned aerostats monitor the terrain below. Using radar, along with infrared and electro-optical cameras, they can "see" approximately 20 miles and pick up the movement of people and vehicles, according to Customs and Border Protection.

The Border Patrol has six tactical aerostats in the Rio Grande Valley. Each blimp's radar and camera feeds are monitored 24 hours a day by government contractors and a Border Patrol agent, according to Jose A. Martinez, assistant chief patrol agent.

"It has greatly assisted us," Martinez says. But, he adds, "The aerostat has its limitations because it's only operational 60% to 70% of the time due to weather and maintenance."

Aerostats are just one of the Border Patrol's surveillance tools. To detect potential illegal immigration and drug trafficking, the federal agency uses everything from surveillance towers equipped with high-powered cameras to to a, including seismic, magnetic, acoustic, infrared, radar, microwave and photoelectric. The Border Patrol is also testing innovations such as machine-learning AI software and tech.

The federal government is pouring money into border technology. A congressional spending measure, passed Feb. 14 and signed by Trump, to the Border Patrol, with an additional $112 million for aircraft and sensor systems.

Border Patrol agents keep watch on the Rio Grande in Mission, Texas.

Dara Kerr/CNET

But some people aren't happy with the indiscriminate surveillance. A group of 28 tech and human rights organizations, led by digital rights group Fight for the Future, has been to stop funding border surveillance tech.

"It's sickening to see both Republicans and Democrats add significant funding for invasive surveillance technologies to trample on millions of people's basic rights at a mass scale," Evan Greer, deputy director of Fight for the Future, said in a after Congress passed its spending measure in February. "The US government's mass surveillance programs are already out of control."

Civil liberties groups and some think tanks are also opposed to added border surveillance. Libertarian think tank the tech "intrudes on law-abiding Americans' privacy" and it'd "be naive to believe that Border Patrol surveillance equipment won't be turned on Americans going about their days."

You don't have to build the wall, you could increase border security, you could increase technology.
Susan Keefer, part-. And at least 18 live here.

"We're at the crossroads of the subtropical and tropical Americas," says Marianna T. Wright, executive director of the National Butterfly Center. "If you're doing a Venn diagram, the Rio Grande Valley is that sweet spot in the middle."

The Rio Grande Valley is home to hundreds of species of birds, butterflies and animals. Clockwise from the top left: zebra longwing butterfly, Altamira oriole, ocelot cub, javelina.

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service

Down the road from the Butterfly Center in a flat, dusty lot enclosed by a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire, a completely different scene started taking place on April 16. Flatbed 18-wheelers began hauling in truckloads of massive steel bollard panels. Bright orange tractors unloaded the oversized metal planks, placing them in several 10-foot-high stacks across the lot. These are the panels for the border wall.

"We're getting a 36-foot-tall barrier that no terrestrial wildlife will be able to cross," Wright says. "That means trapped between the river and a wall, there will be increased competition for resources, for mating territory, for food, for shelter, for breeding."

So far, the majority of construction on Trump's wall has been . That's about to change.

Along with more funding for border technology, Congress' spending measure authorized $1.375 billion for 55 miles of steel fencing in the Rio Grande Valley. The measure also said, however, the wall couldn't be built in : the National Butterfly Center, Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge and La Lomita Chapel.

But the day after Trump signed the measure, he announced a national emergency at the southern border, arguing that the US is struggling with an "invasion of drugs and criminals coming into our country that we stop, but it's very hard to stop. With a wall, it would be very easy."

Marianna T. Wright, executive director of the National Butterfly Center, stands with football players Demario Davis and Josh Norman in front of a stack of steel bollard panels that'll be used to build the border wall.

The National Butterfly Center

That move lets him tap into more than , diverted from other government reserves. It also lets him waive environmental assessments and override the no-wall provision for those four protected areas.

While Trump is facing several lawsuits and a congressional challenge to the national emergency, his order stands and construction on the wall moves forward.

Along with the 55 miles of wall authorized by Congress in February, an additional in the Rio Grande Valley were funded by Congress in March 2018. Of this, 25 miles of nearly continuous wall are slated for Hidalgo County, where the Butterfly Center and La Lomita are located, according to a July 2018 letter that Customs and Border Protection sent to a nongovernmental organization and that was seen by CNET.

Customs and Border Protection didn't respond to a request for comment on the contents of the letter.

The wall in Hidalgo County will be 36 feet tall -- nearly as high as a four-story building. It'll start at the foot of the levee with an 18-foot base of reinforced concrete and be topped with 18 feet of steel bollards, according to the letter. Detection and surveillance tech will be incorporated into the wall, along with floodlights. All trees and brush will be excavated 150 feet south of the wall toward the river to clear an area called the "enforcement zone."

If you're doing a Venn diagram, the Rio Grande Valley is that sweet spot in the middle.
Marianna T. Wright, executive director of the National Butterfly Center

Environmentalists say this could deal a devastating blow to South Texas' already compromised ecosystem. Agriculture and urban growth have destroyed almost all of the Rio Grande Valley's native brushland, according to the . Less than 5% of this habitat remains -- and what's left is mostly along the banks of the Rio Grande. This is where birds nest, butterflies lay their eggs, and animals hunt and burrow.

"This tiny strip of wildlife along the river is now in jeopardy because of the border wall," says Paul Sánchez-Navarro, senior representative for advocacy group Defenders of Wildlife. "We're talking over 50,000 acres of deforestation."

Now playing:
Watch this:

Border wall dividing homes and habitat

2:09

Clear-cutting isn't the only side effect the wall will have on South Texas' wildlife, Sánchez-Navarro says. It'll also cut off access to water and . And the 36-foot-tall barrier will exacerbate wind flow, light pollution and trash and debris buildup.

Flooding may be a serious issue too. South Texas is prone to what locals call "rain events," when a sudden storm pours down massive amounts of water. When this happens, the Rio Grande tends to flood very quickly.

"With the wall there, animals would get trapped and drown," Sánchez-Navarro says. "They don't have a way to escape."

This map shows where the border wall will be built in the Mission, Texas, area of the Rio Grande Valley.

Amy Kim/CNET

Customs and Border Protection says it's to build the wall, including the National Environmental Policy Act and the Endangered Species Act. But it also says it's working with federal, state and nongovernmental organizations to identify the potential impact on wildlife.

"To the greatest extent practicable, CBP will incorporate design considerations to avoid, minimize, or mitigate any potential impacts that are found," the agency says.

A couple miles west of the Butterfly Center, Customs and Border Protection's and cleared about in a tract of land called La Parida Banco, which is in the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge. This is the in Hidalgo County to get Trump's new border wall.

"It is happening next door to us, but not to us," Wright says. But if Trump's agenda continues, she says, "they will eventually build the wall through us."
'We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us'
After mass, Father Snipes offers to take me on a boat tour down the Rio Grande on his 50-year-old Kenner ski barge. He puts on his cowboy hat and Texas A&M jacket, towels the morning dew off the boat's seats and gets the old barge's motor going.

"And we're off like a band of turtles," he jokes.

The river is wide and calm here, flanked by palms and swamp grass. As Snipes steers the boat downstream, he points to Mexico with its riverside houses and a tidy park full of picnic tables. On the US side, Border Patrol surveillance towers watch over the water. An aerostat hovers in the distance.

Father Roy Snipes steers his Kenner ski barge down the Rio Grande.

Dara Kerr/CNET

"It's hard to see any signs of a crisis," Snipes says, as he scans the empty river. "The crisis is demonizing and despising your neighbors."

Snipes took his final vows as a priest at La Lomita in 1980 and he's been here ever since. He's had hundreds of parishioners from both sides of the river, including Border Patrol agents and Mexicans who entered the US without papers. The church sits just below the levee, which means it's inside the 150-foot enforcement zone. Snipes says he hasn't heard talk of demolishing La Lomita, but being in a deforested area next to a 36-foot-tall concrete and steel wall will change the church.

"It's such a serene and peaceful place to pray, and if you have a militarized zone right there, it would desecrate the atmosphere," he says. "Couldn't we find something better than a 15th century wall?"

The crisis is demonizing and despising your neighbors.
Father Roy Snipes, parish priest for La Lomita

Along with historic sites and wildlife refuges, the Trump administration is also looking to build the wall across residents' private property. Throughout Texas, more than 1,000 landowners are going to be potentially impacted by property seizures, says Rep. Will Hurd, a Republican whose district covers more than 800 miles of the Texas-Mexico border and who opposes a wall along the entire southern boundary.

In the Rio Grande Valley, the government to dozens of property owners over the past few months asking to survey their land for the wall. If the landowners refuse, these matters typically end up in court with the government making a case to seize the property under eminent domain. The Butterfly Center and La Lomita had cases against the federal government over the use of their land, and both cases have been dismissed. The Butterfly Center appealed that decision.

"The messiness of all these takings has become a real burden for people," says Peter McGraw, a lawyer with the nonprofit legal assistance firm Texas RioGrande Legal Aid.

Mission area resident Reynaldo Anzaldua (left) and the mayor of Mission, Armando O'Caña.

Dara Kerr/CNET

Reynaldo Anzaldua's family has lived in the Mission area since before the US was even a country. He's a descendent of the Spaniards who settled on both sides of the river in the 1750s. His extended family owns plots of land throughout the region and even has a land grant dating back to 1767. Now the government aims to build the wall through about 70 acres of his family's property.

Anzaldua, who's soft-spoken with thin, gray hair and wire-rimmed glasses, is a retired customs officer and Vietnam War vet. He says he's opposed to Trump's wall because he doesn't think it's needed or will work.

"One thing I do know about is smuggling. They need to look at the root causes of things," Anzaldua says. "This is about demand for drugs and demand for illegal immigrant labor. If you reduce demand, you reduce violence in Mexico, you reduce problems here."

The messiness of all these takings has become a real burden for people.
Peter McGraw, lawyer for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid

He and his family are already battling the federal government in court over their land. But their prospects of winning the case don't look good.

Anzaldua says he's also opposed to the wall because he sees this region of South Texas and Northern Mexico as one community, as have the generations of his family who came before him. He doesn't like the idea of dividing it with a barrier.

"We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us," Anzaldua says. "I'm not giving up to the last minute, until it's all done. Then we'll have to work to tear it down."
The river's end
The Rio Grande is the fourth longest river in the US. It originates in the Colorado Rockies, then bends and winds its way through New Mexico and along the edge of Texas to eventually empty into the Gulf of Mexico, 1,896 miles later. After traveling hundreds of miles along this river, I had to see its end.

I drive my rental car toward the gulf, past cabbage, melon and grapefruit farms, to the dunes and salt flats of Boca Chica State Park. When the road ends at a long, desolate beach, I park and walk. It's about three miles to the mouth of the river. A cool, thick fog hangs over the ocean as small waves tumble onto the shore.

Where the Rio Grande empties into the Gulf of Mexico.

Dara Kerr/CNET

Behind me, a lifted black pickup comes driving down the beach. I still have a ways to go, so I give a wave and ask for a ride. It's a couple from Missouri wintering in Texas. A pop country station plays over the radio. Like me, they want to see where the river disappears into the sea. We slowly crawl down the beach until we make it to the mouth of the Rio Grande.

The land out here is open and rugged. It's only about 30 feet across to Mexico. The US side is empty, but on the Mexican side, a handful of fishermen in fluorescent green waders stand shin deep, casting their nets. Herons, gulls and pelicans look on.

As I'm taking it in, I'm reminded of a plaque I saw at the Butterfly Center engraved with a quote from the writer Wallace Stegner:

"Something will have gone out of us as a people if we ever let the remaining wilderness be destroyed. … We simply need that wild country available to us, even if we never do more than drive to its edge and look in."

A small, black SUV pulls up to the water's edge across the river in Mexico. Insurance policies are packed with legalese that can make understanding your policy difficult and confusing. To help, we've compiled the 10 most common automotive insurance terms you need to know. This will help you make the right decision when purchasing protection for one of your most expensive and valuable assets -- your car.
Collision coverageThis kind of coverage pays for damages to your vehicle, no matter who is at fault. If you drive a new car, a classic or just something near and dear to your heart, collision coverage is a good buy -- in fact, if you're financing your vehicle, it's likely a mandatory expense. However, if you bought your 20-year old ride for $1,500 and a case of Diet Dr Pepper, it's probably not worth it.
Comprehensive coverage
This pays for damage to your car or truck not caused by a collision with another vehicle. Ex-lover took a baseball bat to the quarter panel? Covered. Hit a deer? Covered. Car stolen from the mall parking lot, caught fire during a riot, floated away during a hurricane? Covered, covered and covered. As with collision coverage, comprehensive is worth the price if you drive a new or otherwise valuable car (and it, too, could be mandatory if you're still financing your ride).

Comprehensive coverage is a good idea if you have a nice Porsche that may be involved in a mudslide.

Justin Sullivan / Getty Images
Deductible
This is the amount you pay out of pocket for repairs when making a claim before your insurance kicks in. The higher your deductible, the lower your monthly payments.
Declarations page
No, this isn't where you declare your undying love for your . It's essentially a summary of your coverage, including kind of coverage you have, the limit and cost for each and what vehicle is covered.
Full coverage
Don't be fooled! "Full coverage" auto insurance doesn't truly exist. However, it can imply that a policy includes more than liability coverage. For example, a policy with comprehensive and collision coverage, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement and the like could be considered "full coverage."
Gap insurance
This term is best explained by example. You may have heard that a car's value begins depreciating as soon as you drive it out of the dealership, so your $80,000 car has a value of $70,000 after, let's say, three months. You've been paying $1,000 per month, so you now owe $77,000 on a car that is only worth $70,000. As you're lamenting this fact, some distracted driver comes along, slams into you and totals your car. Guess what? Your policy is only going to pay out the $70,000, leaving you on the hook for $7,000 for a car that you can't even drive any more.

Gap insurance is worth considering for folks leasing or making payments on a car, but if you own your car outright or owe less on it than the car is worth, you can leave gap insurance on the table.
Liability insurance
This is the minimum amount of insurance you need to carry. It pays for damages and injuries to the other party in an accident of your fault, but does not pay for any damages/injuries to you or your vehicle.

There are two kinds of liability insurance. Bodily injury liability covers you if you are at fault for another person's injury or death. It will pay for medical expenses, lost wages and the somewhat intangible "pain and suffering." If you are sued, bodily injury liability will pay for your defense and court costs. Usually it will be written as two numbers, for example $25,000/$50,000. The first number refers to the limit of payment per person, the second to the limit of payment per accident. So if you do bodily injury to four people in an SUV, your policy will only pay out $50,000. You're on the hook for the rest.

With liability insurance, if you're at fault insurance will pay out only for the person you hit.

Robert Nickelsberg / Getty Images

Meanwhile, property damage liability pays for damage done to property, including the other party's car or anything damaged during the accident -- like the fence you hit when you accidentally put the car in reverse instead of drive. It's usually written in conjunction with bodily injury limits, so you might see $25,000/$50,000/$40,000. The first two numbers are your bodily injury limits, the third represents the amount the policy will pay out for property damage.
No-fault insurance
No-fault insurance keeps blame out of the insurance game. Each party's insurance will pay injury benefits to the policy owner regardless of who was at fault in an accident. So, even if you are injured by a drunk driver, your insurance pays out the benefit. It does not cover property damage.

No-fault was devised as a way to cut back on motorists suing each other for minor injuries. Each state determines the limit of coverage and you are responsible for paying the difference unless injuries pass a threshold of severity. If the injuries are severe, as is likely in our drunk driver example, it is possible to collect from the at-fault party. However, each state sets its own threshold.

How mad would you be if someone spray painted your car?

Josh Edelson / AFP/Getty Images

, as of June 2017 the following states have no-fault insurance: Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Utah. No-fault insurance is optional in District of Columbia, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. However, laws can change, so be sure to inquire with your agent as to what your state requires.
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
This is the basic coverage required in no-fault states. Your state will determine specific details, but in general, PIP will cover medical expenses, lost wages, funeral costs and essential services you may not be able to perform due to injuries.
SR-22
Also known as a Certificate of Financial Responsibility (CFR), this is essentially proof of insurance for folks who have had a suspended driver's license. If you've been convicted of driving under the influence, driving without insurance, or if you've got a bad driving record with an injury-causing accident to your name, you'll more than likely need an SR-22.

The DMV will inform you of the need to file an SR-22. You'll have to contact your insurance provider and have them file the paperwork with the DMV. This may result in your being reclassified as a high-risk driver, so be prepared to have your rates go up or your policy cancelled altogether. Requirements vary by state, but in general, you'll have to carry an SR-22 for three years.

Originally published Sept. 1, 2018.

If you have any queries about where by and how to use [https://xn--80aaalddcfhwl3bhizg.xn--p1ai/ временные сетчатые ограждения купить], you can call us at our page.

And with social-distancing requirements no longer in effect for small outdoor gatherings, you can finally return to parties, barbecues and all the other fun stuff we missed last year.
Like games! So gather up your friends and family and check out this list of some of the best games you can play outside. I've tried most of them; others are included here based on overwhelmingly positive reviews from customers. (Got a fun one of your own to recommend? This lawn game is great for all ages (even a young kid could play it), because all you have to do is toss a wood dowel and try to knock over wood blocks. It's a little bit horseshoes, a little bit chess, incredibly fun for two-on-two play (though team sizes can vary if you like). And unlike a lot of the games here, this yard game can be played even on super-windy days.

GoSports offers both regulation and backyard versions, the latter simply a bit smaller and priced $10 less. Either way, you'll need a reasonably spacious yard in which to play.

Wicked Big Sports

The problem with most cornhole games is they're big and heavy, making them hard to take from one place to another.

Tipping Point is self-contained and totally portable, and the game itself brings a little twist to the experience: Instead of two separate boards at either end of the play area, here you've got just one in the center. And it can tilt one way or the other if a bag lands just so -- making it that much more challenging to hit the hole.

You do need a flat, solid surface on which to play; Tipping Point isn't ideal for sandy beaches. But if you love cornhole and want a game you can carry in one hand, this is it.

Wicked Big Sports

The idea is pretty brilliant: A compact, portable pong set, complete with cups, balls, stands and carrying case. Now you can play beer pong just about anywhere, without having to devote an entire table to it.

The execution isn't perfect: The set comes with only two balls, so get ready to do a lot of chasing after bounce-off shots. And the various plastic parts all feel a little flimsy, making this feel a little overpriced for what it is.

But what it is is a ton of fun for fans of beer pong who want a fully portable solution.

Read more:

Kan Jam

Kan Jam is a really fun two-on-two game. The "Kan" is a hard-plastic bucket of sorts, one with a slot in the front. The goal is to fling a flying disc through that slot or into the top opening. If it's off course, your teammate can try to swat it into the Kan midflight. You get varying points depending on what happens. Then it's the other team's turn.

This outdoor activity is best for families with older kids, in part because it takes some coordination to fling accurately, which might be hard for a younger kid, and in part because Kan Jam can be hard on the hands; you're constantly swatting at a fast-moving, hard-plastic disc.

Poleish Sports

I don't know the Bottle Bash origin story, but I'd guess this outdoor game started with a fence post and a bottle: "Bet you can't throw that Frisbee and knock the bottle off!" This two-on-two game comes with two plastic posts (which are easy to stake into the ground), two plastic bottles that rest atop them and one flying disc.

The goal: knock that bottle off. Meanwhile, the defending team tries to catch the disc -- and the bottle, if you're able to hit it. We liked the handy score-keeping slider on each pole but found the game more challenging than expected: Even at the minimum 20-foot distance, hitting that pole or bottle isn't easy. Younger kids might get easily frustrated.

RampShot

The reason cornhole and bean bag toss games are so popular is that people love trying to toss an object into a hole. RampShot takes that idea, widens the hole, and replaces your standard bean bag with rubber balls. Now it's a team game, with your teammate trying to catch the ball if it bounces off the surface and an opposing teammate trying to catch a rebound. Very simple, tons of fun.

However, while RampShot requires four players, only three are active during each round. The rounds go pretty quickly, but if you want an outdoor activity where everyone is participating all the time, pick something else.

Spikeball

Spikeball is a hugely popular outdoor game, condensing elements of volleyball down to a small, circular space. Instead of hitting a large ball over a straight net, you're smacking a softer, grapefruit-size ball onto a bouncy, ringed one, sort of like tetherball but without the string. It's a fun game, but quite challenging.

And be prepared, parents: This is a pretty physical game, one that requires fast movement and probably some diving if you want to win points. Consequently, this might be best for just the kids, although it does require four players.

Crossnet

Four square is the popular playground game involving a kickball and four chalked squares on the ground. Crossnet takes that classic game airborne, with a four-way volleyball net and ground boundaries that mark the squares. Once it's set up, you literally play four square, but with a volleyball. The net can be set at three different regulation heights, so the game is suitable for kids as well as adults -- though obviously it does require enough skill to hit a ball over a net.

It also requires a bit of time to set up and take down, so ideally it's something you'd leave set up in the yard. But it's well worth the effort. This is one of the few games with individual, rather than team, scoring, and although only four people can play per round, it's easy to rotate in additional players. (In other words, Crossnet is a great game and works well with larger families.)

Unfortunately, at this writing, this outdoor game is sold out at Amazon, and the company's website indicates that direct orders won't ship until early July.

Rollors

Rollors is among the rare games that can be played one-on-one or two-on-two, and it's simple enough that kids as young as 4 years old can join in. The goal is simple: Roll your three wooden discs toward a little tower and try to get them as close as possible. Whoever gets closest scores points.

The game can be played on grass or sand and comes in a zippered carrying case.

OK, there's my list.
By Tina Bellon

April 27 (Reuters) - Hertz Global Holdings Inc new chief executive on Wednesday said he expects Americans' pent-up desire for a summer vacation to lead to more strong rental car demand despite rising inflation.

The rental car company, which emerged from bankruptcy last year, beat analysts' first-quarter expectations for top- and bottom-line growth at a time when tight vehicle supply is allowing rental companies to charge record rates.

Hertz CEO Stephen Scherr, a former Goldman Sachs finance chief who took the helm at the end of February, said strong demand in the second half of the first quarter carried over into April.

"You may well see consumptive behavior elevated this summer, inflationary tendencies notwithstanding, because consumers did not have the opportunity to travel due to COVID," Scherr said in an interview with Reuters.

Scherr said Hertz, like its peers, struggled to increase inventory levels as an ongoing shortage of semiconductors hampers vehicle production. He said Hertz was moving existing vehicles to the "highest-margin opportunities."

Tight supply and higher prices allowed Hertz to increase total first-quarter revenue per vehicle by 26% from last year.

Hertz reported revenue of $1.8 billion in the three months through March, and net income of $426 million. Analysts on average had expected the company to post $1.7 billion and $375 million, respectively, according to Refinitiv data.

Scherr said the company remained committed to its transition to electric vehicles and aims to partner with all manufacturers to buy EVs, including Ford Motor Co and General Motors Co .

Hertz has signed deals with Tesla Inc and EV maker Polestar to acquire tens of thousands of EVs.

Scherr said Tesla vehicles were "super well received" by both consumers and Uber Technologies Inc ride-hail drivers who can rent them at special rates.

(Reporting by Tina Bellon; Editing by Kevin Liffey, Bernard Orr)

When you adored this post and you want to get more info concerning [https://xn--80aaalddcfhwl3bhizg.xn--p1ai/ аренда гранитора] i implore you to pay a visit to our internet site.
