Breathing is the most important thing to help alleviate stress, so next time you're feeling overwhelmed, do the five-five-five: Breathe in for five seconds, hold it for five, and breathe out for five. Adopting this short but meaningful breathing exercise can help as a mini-vacation from the demands of the workday.

Once you leave the office and finally arrive home, create a ritual that you can put into practice right away to help you unwind. This could be a bath, a project around the house you've been putting off, or making progress in a light book. Performing this daily ritual adjusts the barriers of your day, aids in battling insomnia, and lets you fall asleep easier at night.

In the second half of the show, Paul actually puts Wilson under and guides him through a meditation process that leaves him visibly relaxed- so much that even the thought of checking mobile e-mail makes him throw his iPhone on the ground!

On Tuesday, Reddit tipped me off to Samsung's Swedish site, which featured a hypnotherapy service called "Unspoil Me." It's an unusual bit of marketing, but the company said it worked with two hypnotists to develop the site. It claims that you'll "experience your favorite TV series as if it were the first time."

Scanning the Indiegogo page, a few things leap out as crowdfunding red flags, such as the fact that the product photo is a Photoshopped version of the GT08 Apple Watch clone, and there is no mention of a prototype or testing of the hypnosis technology. But, while the product campaign looks suspicious, the psychology behind it could actually work, according to David Keatley, lecturer in psychology at University of Lincoln in the UK, who specialises in hypnosis.

Today' s show is very unusual, since we don't actually talk about any stories, but we're all too lucid to give a damn. Paul Ramsay, professional hypnotist, joins us in the studio to put us under his trance while he explains how the process works, the benefits of hypnotherapy, and the overall power of the mind. If nothing else, you have to hear him put Wilson into the most docile state we've ever seen, to the point where he start to drool and we're forced to tape a cup to his chin. Later on, in the second half of the show, he makes me forget my own name...it's OK; I remember it now--Gunther, right? Cool, just making sure.

Directions for when I should go down each step were precise and weaved into a moralistic story about an emperor and a chess player. It was during this story that I first had to try really hard not to think about "Big Little Lies."

The voice told me I should be physically and mentally relaxed by this point. I checked to see how relaxed I felt physically. My fingers, which had been laced in front of me on my desk since the beginning of the hypnosis, now felt totally numb, almost like I had one big hand instead of two.

The watch comes preloaded with images of flowers and kittens so you can use such pickup lines as "I got these flowers for you" and "would you like to see my kitten?"

Where there are lonely hearts, there are books, advice and even trinkets to help those lonely hearts find companionship. For gentlemen, the Pick Up Girls SmartWatch, currently seeking crowdfunding on Indiegogo, hypnotherapy claims it can help.
